Lorena Pharmacy, located on the corner of Whittier Boulevard and Lorena Street, was burglarized early March 19.
According to a spokesperson from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), two male and two female suspects broke in through the pharmacy’s windows at around 4:30 am.
It is unclear how much was stolen from the local pharmacy, and according to the spokesperson, no additional information on the suspects was available at the time of this report.
An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, and officers believe there is a connection to similar burglaries the same Tuesday morning that affected other pharmacies:
- LAPD officers were called to Reseda Pharmacy (6900 Reseda Boulevard) at around 3:30 a.m. following a report that multiple suspects had broken into the store and quickly fled the scene.
- Officers were called to Oakdale Pharmacy (5400 Balboa Boulevard) at around 3:45 a.m., where multiple suspects also broke in and fled.
- Four male suspects broke into York Discount Pharmacy (5821 York Boulevard) at around 4:30 a.m. before fleeing.
Another LAPD spokesperson said the serial burglar crew has been responsible for at least three other break-ins at small pharmacies in the city since December.
