Stakeholders at Bravo Magnet decry lack of funding, need for improvements
A group of students, teachers and parents at the Boyle Heights high school has come together to advocate for the campus
The newspaper and its sister website serve an immigrant neighborhood in East Los Angeles of just under 100,000. It came into being through a partnership of the USC Annenberg School of Journalism, and La Opinión, the Spanish language daily. Our current media partner is Hoy, the Spanish newspaper of the Times Media Group. Boyle Heights Beat also counts upon many supporters in Boyle Heights’ schools and the broader community.
