Internship Application - Boyle Heights Beat

For the 2024-2025 School Year

We’re looking for high school student interns who are interested in journalism, photography/videography, and/or podcasting. Students must attend school or live in Boyle Heights/East Los Angeles in order to participate.

Meetings will take place in our newsroom located at 2026 E 1st St Los Angeles, CA 90033.

Students must be able to attend meetings throughout the 2024-2025 school year. No exceptions.

Photography mandatory weekly meeting:

Tuesday 4-6:30 PM

Print mandatory bi-weekly meetings:

Wednesday 4-6:30 PM
Saturday 9 AM-12PM

Podcast mandatory weekly meeting:

Thursday 4-6:30 PM

The program will begin in July with our Summer Intensive Program.
