Los Angeles police on Thursday released video of a hit-and-run that killed a man in Boyle Heights in April and announced a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

At about 8 p.m. on April 16, a pedestrian was crossing Mission Road near 1st Street on an unmarked crosswalk when a driver traveling southbound on Mission struck them, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The incident happened near Felicitas and Gonzalo Mendez High School and the Metro E Line’s Pico Aliso Station.

The driver did not stop after the collision and continued southbound on Mission Road before turning westbound onto 1st Street and then northbound onto Vignes Street, nearby surveillance footage obtained by LAPD shows.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The L.A. Coroner’s Office later identified the victim as 77-year-old Jose Dorado.

The driver’s vehicle is described as a black Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima with black rims.
