Fire crews put out a large blaze in a junkyard that broke out near the 101 Freeway in Boyle Heights Wednesday afternoon.

Two RVs and a trailer caught fire around 2:58 p.m. at 573 N. Gallardo St. near Mission Road, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The fire was put out in 36 minutes at 3:34 p.m. and created a large plume of smoke visible from surrounding areas.

The vehicles were unoccupied and no injuries were reported, according to authorities.
