More than 60 organizations and vendors will provide information and preventive health screenings at a free community health, wellness and safety fair this Saturday at White Memorial Medical Center in Boyle Heights.

In an effort to improve community health, well-being and safety, White Memorial and the University of Southern California (USC) will present “Bridge to Health,” in collaboration with the Weingart Center for the Homeless, YMCA of Los Angeles, the Consulate of Mexico and many other community and health care partners.

Services offered at the fair will include: free flu shots (limited to a first-come, first-served bases), body fat and cholesterol screenings, dental checks, diabetes screening, hypertension and osteoporosis screenings, and important health information on dealing with and managing Alzheimer’s disease, asthma and arthritis, cancer, mental health, nutrition, healthy cooking and physical fitness.

White Memorial Medical Center will also celebrate its Centennial year with the community.
