Community members and elected officials came together Tuesday to honor veterans at Cinco Puntos All Wars Memorial in Boyle Heights.

The annual Veterans Day ceremony featured a keynote speech by United States Marine Corps Capt. Leonardo Cuadrado, an address by the commander of Veterans for Foreign Wars Post 4696 Tony Zapata and other local dignitaries.

Councilmember Jose Huizar unveiled the latest renderings for a $4.3 million traffic roundabout designed to highlight the Veteran memorials at that intersection.

The All Wars Memorial, located at 3300 East Cesar Chavez Avenue, was originally built in 1947 to honor Mexican Americans who fought in wars on behalf of the United States.
