Popular Boyle Heights hamburger stand Vaka Burger is expanding with a Westside location. The group behind the burger establishment made the announcement on Instagram a week ago. It was sparse on details but they did mention that sit-down dining, local beers on tap, and wine will be coming in “mid 2017.”
Eater Los Angeles reports that the new expansion, simply named “Vaka,” will be moving to Beverly Boulevard just east of Koreatown and north of Westlake.
Vaka Burgers has built a local following in Boyle Heights for its unique menu. Boyle Heights Beat’s resident foodie Maria Arredondo listed Vaka Burger on her top reasons to eat in Boyle Heights saying the burgers are flavorful, hearty, and juicy.
