Thousands braved the scorching heat to participate in CicLAvia on Sunday.

The new route gave families and individuals the opportunity to walk, bike, or skate through closed streets in Echo Park, Downtown, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Arts District, Boyle Heights and for the first time in CicLAvia history, through Cesar Chavez Avenue to East LA.

Get to know the faces and places behind CicLAvia’s tenth event through photos captured by community contributors Erik Sarni and Tiffany Lam.
