A 17-year-old boy was killed Friday in a shooting believed to be gang related, various media outlets reported.

KTLA reported that LAPD Hollenbeck officers heard the shots just before midnight near the corner of Wabash and Evergreen avenues and responded to find the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds, lying unresponsive on the ground.

Authorities said the teen was pronounced dead on the scene. The Eastsider said he was identified by the Coroner’s office as Ricardo Ramírez.

Police were seen searching the area for clues and suspects Saturday morning. According to published reports, two people were seen fleeing the scene after the shooting. Police have no suspects or motive on the killing, but said the incident could be gang related.
