Demolition on the Sixth Street Bridge continues and you can own a piece of the rubble.
“Rock Day LA,” an event at the Sixth Street Viaduct on Saturday will give 1,000 rocks from the bridge away to residents on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each piece of the bridge comes with a Certificate of Authenticity proving the rocks are a piece of the historic Los Angeles bridge.
Food, music and diagrams of the new viaduct will all be at the event. Rock Day LA runs from 10am to 4pm Saturday at 585 S. Santa Fe. The event is hosted by Councilman José Huízar and the City of Los Angeles’ Bureau of Engineering.
