A man was shot Sunday during an attempted robbery while he pumped gas at a Boyle Heights gas station. KTLA reports that the gunman approached the victim while he pumped gas at an Arco station in the area of Whittier Boulevard and Lorena Street just before 2 a.m.
The Los Angeles Police Department tell KTLA that the victim was shot at least once after struggling with the shooter. The victim is expected to survive and was transported to a hospital in stable condition. Police did not have a detailed description of the wanted male.
