Boyle Heights youth are invited to attend and participate in SaludArte, a day of free workshops promoting community health and education.

Organized by Self-Help Graphics & Art and the Building Healthy Communities – Boyle Heights Collaborative, the day will include workshops in corrido and songwriting, spoken word, mural print making, collage, altar, theatre, quilting and zine making.

Artists leading workshops include Yolanda González (quilt making), Alfonso Aceves of Kalli Arte (printmaking), José Ramírez (mural painting), Mujeres de Maíz (zine making), and Ofelia & Rosanna Esparza (altar making).

Salud Arte will take place on Saturday, March 12 from 10 am to 3 p.m. at Hollenbeck Park, 415 St. Louis Street. Those wishing to participate should reserve a space by clicking on this link: saludarte2016.splashthat.com
