Job hunters will have the opportunity to meet prospective employers at a job fair being held at the Salesian Family Youth Center in Boyle Heights on Thursday.
Applicants are encouraged to bring multiple resumes, dress in business attire and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. Over 30 employers have been confirmed, including UPS, LAPD, LAFD, Farmers Insurance, Volunteers of America, Vons, Fiesta Taxi, Metro Transportation and La Opinión.
The hiring event is being presented by State Sen. Kevin De Leon (D-Los Angeles), the Boyle Heights Coalition for a Safe and Drug-Free Community, Salesian Boys and Girls Clubs of Los Angeles among others.
The job fair will be held from 12 pm to 5 pm at Salesian Family Youth Center 2228 E. 4th Street, Los Angeles, and is open to the public.
