There wasn’t snow, but Santa and his sleigh came to Ramona Gardens Wednesday evening, giving out toys to the children who live there.
Santa traveled from the Hollenbeck Area down Soto Street, before entering the Ramona Gardens Housing Development on Lancaster Avenue. Hundreds of residents lined up to receive toys like trucks, board games and hula hoops, as well as baby clothes and tennis shoes.
The second annual Holiday Toy Giveaway is hosted by the Community Safety Partnership between the Los Angeles Police Department/Hollenbeck Area and the Housing Authority City of Los Angeles.
