A documentary captures the thriving punk rock scene in East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights and South Central Los Angeles. ‘Los Punks: We Are All We Have’ tells the story of how Hispanic teens and young adults host gigs, play in bands, market, and produce punk shows.

The documentary dives into the different genres of punk music and goes behind the scenes to backyard concerts. People in the documentary talk about the sense of community and bonds they have built through playing music. Backyard concerts on the Eastside are estimated to date back to the 1970’s. Los Punks debuted earlier this year in January.
