A robbery suspect who tried to evade police by jumping into Hollenbeck Park Lake eventually surrendered early Wednesday after officers offered him a slice of pizza.
Police were called after a woman reported being robbed near Hollenbeck Park at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday. The man was arrested and taken to a hospital for evaluation, police said.
