In spite of the weekend heat, families came out to the streets of East L.A. on Sunday for the 68th annual East Los Angeles Mexican Independence Day parade.
Local leaders, public officials, schools and entertainers, including Grand Marshal Edward James Olmos, City Councilman Jose Huizar and LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, were part of the parade presentation.
The parade was presented by Comité Mexicano Cívico Patriótico and Wells Fargo.
