Teachers, students and parents from Roosevelt High School joined about 23,000 runners in the 27th annual Los Angeles Marathon on Sunday.
The group participated along with students and teachers from various L.A. schools as part of Students Run L.A., a program originally established in the Los Angeles Unified School District over two decades ago.
Youth photographer Jonathan Olivares joined the group as they attempted their 26.2-mile journey from Dodger’s Stadium to Santa Monica Pier.
