Boyle Heights will see a new LGBT resource center open this month.

Mi Centro, at 553 S. Clarence St., aims to provide services to the local community so that people don’t have to travel to Hollywood or other outside places where LGBT centers have opened, KPCC reports.

The new center is a collaboration between the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the Latino Equality Alliance. Mi Centro will offer meeting spaces, provide immigration legal help, and organize support groups.
