An explosion at a Boyle Heights home injured one on Thursday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A 45-year-old man was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition after the blast was reported just after 12:30 p.m., the Fire Department said.

The explosion rocked a one-story home in the 1100 block of South Lorena Street, causing structural damage to the walls and roof, as well as the interior.

The Department of Building and Safety as well as several fire companies responded to the scene. The cause is still undetermined, and no other explosions in the vicinity have been reported so far.
