Police say a man was found dead from a gunshot wound near the Ramona Gardens swap meet Saturday afternoon.
The Eastsider reported that police have only identified the victim as a 23-year-old Latino male, but have not said if the incident was gang related. There is no suspect in custody.
LAPD told The Eastsider that a call was received at about 2:30 p.m. of a shooting near Murchison Street and Lancaster Avenue with the victim down, and that the man was already dead when they arrived.
The Ramona Gardens swap meet is held by residents not far from where the victim was found, on a vacant lot on Murchison St.
The incident is being investigated by Hollenbeck LAPD Homicide Detectives.
