Ciro’s has dished out classic Mexican-American fare — from crispy flautas to steaming bowls of menudo — for more than 40 years. But a few weeks ago regular customers began to notice that the Evergreen Avenue restaurant seemed permanently locked up behind a black steel gate. “Not sure what happened but it appears that it is no longer open,” said on person on Yelp! “Inconsolably sad because this was one of my favorite restaurants.”
Some Yelpers! said the closure is related to a death in the family but that could not be confirmed. This week, the phone remained disconnected and an empty pizza box had been tossed into the entrance behind the locked steel gates.
