Boyle Heights has seen plenty of holiday cheer so far. But if you have missed a toy giveaway or holiday concert, you still have a few opportunities to celebrate and give in your community. We have rounded up local events for the whole family to enjoy. Take your pick!

Second Annual Holiday Toy Giveaway at Ramona Gardens
Wednesday, Dec. 19, 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Families can follow Santa Claus and his sleigh from the Hollenbeck Area to Ramona Gardens on Soto Street and Lancaster Avenue. Toys will be provided for children residing at Ramona Gardens.

Guadalupe Homeless Project Jacket Drive
Thursday, Dec. 20, all day
The Guadalupe Homeless Project, operated by Proyecto Pastoral, is collecting winter clothing for men in their program. The goal is to gather 500 new jackets, socks and toiletries to be distributed to those in need. Donations can be dropped off at

2nd Annual Boyle Heights Holiday Family Festival
Saturday, Dec. 22, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bring the family for a day of fun. Enjoy food, toys, a resource fair and entertainment, including mariachi and folklorico from Plaza de la Raza, youth bands from Roosevelt High School and more.

Zinofresh’s First Christmas Show and Toy Drive
Saturday, Dec. 22, 8 p.m. to midnight
The independent clothing and music shop will host live music by  Viernes 13, The Paranoias, Los Lobos and DJ Selecta Sista Q and a T-shirt auction. All proceeds and toys will be donated to  Toy Loan Volunteer Services Program to benefit children in Boyle Heights.

Posadas Remember the Displaced and Celebrate Community Building
Sunday, Dec. 23, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Union de Vecinos, a nonprofit community advocacy group in Boyle Heights, will tour through the neighborhood in a posada ceremony to highlight important sites regarding property development, housing, safety and vending.
