In celebration of this month’s International Women’s Day, Las Fotos Project celebrates its second annual “Viva La Muxer Art & Music Festival” this weekend.
“Viva La Muxer” will also spotlight community organizations that provide services for women and girls, along with women-owned food businesses.
The festival is a fundraiser for Las Fotos Project, a Boyle Heights based nonprofit mentoring organizations whose mission is to encourage teenage girls through photography and creative expression. According to the organization, Las Fotos Project creates a space for teenage girls to collaborate, learn and inspire.
“Viva La Muxer” will take place on Saturday, March 5, from 6 to 11 p.m., at Werkatz, 1698 Naud Street, Los Angeles 90012. Tickets, at $27.37, can only be purchased online at www.vivalamuxer.com
