The deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is fast approaching –and every year, thousands of students miss out on the opportunity of receiving financial aid for college because the process of applying can be difficult and complicated.

If you are a high school senior –or the parent of such a student– who hasn’t turned in your application, please take advantage of our upcoming FAFSA workshop on Saturday, February 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wellness Center at the old LA County Hospital.

This is a hands-on workshop where participants will be able to complete the FAFSA. Students and parents need to bring:

  • 2015 Income Tax Returns (or 2014, if they have not yet completed the 2015)
  • W2 Forms
  • Social Security numbers for Student and Parent

Families need to create a FSA ID before the meeting using a full legal name. You can do so at: FSaid.ed.gov.

The address for the Wellness Center in the old LA County Hospital is: 1200 North State Street, Los Angeles 90033.

Space is limited and seats are filling up fast. To hold your spot, RSVP at our event page: bhbFAFSA.eventbrite.com.

Don’t leave money on the table! See you at the workshop.
