East LA Community Corporation has partnered with Pan American Bank and the Center for Asset Building Opportunities (CABO) to offer free tax preparation for taxpayers with an annual household income of $50,000 or less.
Trained community volunteers certified by the IRS will assist families in Boyle Heights and East L.A. through April 14, 2012. If an ITIN is needed, tax preparers can help taxpayers apply for one the day of the appointment.
Appointments are available Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. To make an appointment, call (323) 604-1973.
