On Friday, September 21 The Endeavour took off in Florida and flew across the United States to Los Angeles.   It flew over many places like the Hollywood sign, Griffith Park, Disneyland, the Queen Mary, and last but not least our backyards.

When I first saw the space shuttle I was stunned. Everyone was shouting.   It was very low.   I thought it was going to crash into a house but it didn’t.   It also looked like it almost hit a tree.

The space shuttle was really noisy.   I thought it was an airplane, but it was the shuttle.   When I saw it I was at Breed Street Elementary School.   The reason I got to see the Endeavour is because my teacher talked to the principal.   If it wasn’t for Ms. Salcido I wouldn’t have been able to see it.

Me and my three friends got to see the space shuttle, and we were happy we got to see it.   When I am old I will tell my children what I got to see.   This could happen once in a lifetime.

Manny  Velez, a third grader at Breed Street Elementary, is 8 years old and our youngest contributor.   His sister Brizette Castellanos is a  Boyle Heights Beat staff reporter.
