Luna Chats Presents: Lit Latinas
October 8, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free with RSVP!
LIT Latinas – part of our new ongoing Studio Chats series is Luna’s foray into some of our favorite things – the world or authors, books, and publishing where we invite amazing Latina authors, thinkers, and makers who care deeply as we do about amplifying the voices the mainstream erases. On October 8th we will jump right in with these literary powerhouses:
Julissa Arce, Danyeli Rodriguez del Orbe, and Naibe Reynoso with readings from new publications and a roundtable conversation on their individual experiences as writers and creators in today’s complex US political and cultural environment. From giving prominence to immigrant stories to teaching children about Latina heroes, these authors and poets are all using their voices and words to send powerful messages to the world.
Come for the chat, and stay to find out why it is more important now than ever to tell your story and get a chance to ask your own questions to these totally lit latinas. Never letting an opportunity pass to share a practice or methodology, the Luna’s will get interactive inviting together the audience and participants to collectively respond to writing prompts and share out so we all leave inspired and ready to make moves.
