The purpose of the 5K Walk is to create awareness for and prevent childhood obesity among low income, communities of color. The Community Health Fair will afford medically underserved families the opportunity to receive free health screenings (i.e., diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI, etc.,) in our service area, expanding three Los Angeles County Service Planning Areas: SPA 3-San Gabriel, SPA 4-Metro and SPA 7-East.
