A woman pleaded not guilty Monday to killing a man and injuring two others when she allegedly drove drunk and crashed a car into a taco stand in Boyle Heights. Maribel Rosas faces vehicular manslaughter and other related charges, NBC 4 reports.
The man killed in that crash was 48-year old Francisco Gaytan. He worked with a day labor program and was a resident of the Proyecto Guadalupe homeless shelter in Boyle Heights.
NBC 4 writes that Rosas is due back in court on August 24. She could face over 12 years in prison.
