Boyle Heights’ Carnitas Michoacán #3 on the corner of Soto Street and Whittier Boulevard is closing to make way for a Panda Express.

The 24-hour taco stand will be closing “any day now,” according to a statement from Carnitas Michoacán #3 on Facebook. In it the popular taquería says “The landlord will be forcing us out after taking a deal with Panda Express to replace our business.” The business thanked its customers for over 30 years of business.

Reporting on the closure, LAist said it called Panda Express for a statement and did not receive a response.
