Are you addicted to social media? Do you love snapping photos of your neighborhood, your favorite taco spot or your latest fashion trend? We’d like to see them!
To promote the launch of our very own Instagram, Boyle Heights Beat welcomes you to share your images for our photo contest, “Capture It.”
Each month we will provide a theme and search for your photos on social media networks.
All you have to do is snap it, share it and we’ll take care of the rest.
The images you share will be reviewed by our Boyle Heights Beat youth reporters who will choose the winning image to be featured on our website each month. The winner also gets a Boyle Heights Beat t-shirt.
To participate:
1. Join and follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@boyleheightsbt)
2. Snap a photo with your camera or phone
3. Share it on Instagram and/or Twitter using the hashtag #BoyleHeightsBeat(month here)

For the month of April, our theme is “A Mother’s Love.” We’re looking for photos that can translate what a mother’s love means to you; whether it’s a family portrait, your mother’s best dish or her smile… be creative.
