The death of a man in front of the Hollenbeck Youth Center Tuesday afternoon appears to be from natural causes, LAPD told NBC 4.

Police and firefighters responded to reports of a “person down” on the 2000 block of East 1st Street sometime before 5 p.m. Investigators were called to the scene, NBC 4 reported.

News cameras showed police vehicles parked in front of the youth center.

Several violent deaths have been reported in Boyle Heights and nearby neighborhood in recent days. On Saturday, a teen who was reportedly armed, was shot by police in a confrontation near Sixth and Lorena. On Saturday, a teen couple was killed in a crash after being shot while stopped at a red light on César Chávez Avenue. And on Tuesday morning, a man was found dead in a bullet-ridden vehicle in Lincoln Heights.
