The annual Hollenbeck National Night Out was held on Tuesday, August 4. Hundreds of Boyle Heights residents took to the streets to show support to local police and to reclaim the neighborhood from crime and violence.

A peace march started at Evergreen Recreation Center and covered various neighborhood streets before ending at a family festival Hollenbeck Station, with free food and entertainment.

The event was organized by the Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Community Police Advisory Board. Photographer Arturo Torres was there.
