Two separate shootings in Boyle Heights sent two men to the hospital and at least one of those was from a drive-by incident. The Eastsider reported that a man was in stable condition Wednesday morning after being hit by gunfire from a passing vehicle near the intersection of Evergreen Avenue and Fairmount Street. He was shot with several rounds after a car drove up and unloaded.

A drive-by shooting earlier this month hit a 10-year old girl in the head. She survived that. The Los Angeles City Board of Police Commissioners recently met in Boyle Heights to discuss the state of law enforcement in the Eastside neighborhood.
