Nonprofit organizations and city agencies that provide programs and services for Boyle Heights teens and pre-teens will come together for a Youth Opportunity Fair to take place on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boyle Heights City Hall, 2130 East 1st Street, Los Ángeles.

Parents and their children will learn about opportunities ranging from music and arts education to college counseling and gang prevention.

In light of recent tragic violent events involving Boyle Heights youth, the fair will bring families together for a free, fun-filled event with food, music and entertainment and ample information about resources available for youth in the community.

The Boyle Heights Youth Opportunity Fair is hosted by Boyle Heights Beat and the Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council, with additional help from the offices of Councilman José Huízar and Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Save the date for this important, fun and informative free event. You can confirm your attendance here.
