The holidays are upon us, and for many that means a whipping out the perfect family recipe for tamales.
But if you prefer to spend more time enjoying the chicken, pork or cheese-filled delicacies instead of cooking them, we’d like to know where you buy your dozens.
The Beat is conducting a poll on where you can find the best tamales on the Eastside. Let us know your favorite source in Boyle Heights and the surrounding Eastside communities in the comments section below or on our Facebook page. Candidates can include restaurants, carnicerias, tortillerias or street vendors. We will compile a list of the most popular nominees and set up a poll for you to cast your vote starting tomorrow. The winner will be revealed on Christmas Day.
