Those interested in running for a seat on the Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council must file candidate applications by Thursday, Sept. 13, 2011.

There are 19 open board seats available, including one seat for each of the council’s four areas, 14 community seats, and one factual basis. Elections will be held on October 13, 2012.

Eligible candidates are those who reside or own a business or property within the Boyle Heights boundaries (North: Marengo Street, South: 25th Street, East: Indiana Street, West: L.A. River), or have a vested interest in the Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council on a factual basis.
