Police are asking the public for help to find a suspect who dragged an 80-year-old parishioner across a church parking lot before running off with $4,100 in the weekly offerings.

A surveillance video from The Church of the Assumption  on Blanchard Street shows the suspect, described as a male Hispanic, approach the parishioner from behind as the 80-year-old man walks across the parking lot with a canvas bag filled with the money. The suspect grabs the bag but the parishioner holds on, falling to the ground and dragged across the pavement. The suspect breaks free and then runs into the passenger side of a black sedan, which drives away from the robbery on the morning of January 12.
