Ángel Lizarraga
is finishing his studies at Puente Learning Center. He enjoys writing about art and taking photographs, and his favorite hobby is filmmaking. He writes his own scripts and also enjoys acting.[spacer height=”60px”]

 

María Vera is a junior at Roosevelt High School. María enjoys writing about life issues, and her favorite hobby is gymnastics. She enjoys singing and playing the guitar. She also loves attending church and extending a hand to others. María would like to major in broadcast journalism in college.[spacer height=”60px”]

 

Daniel Vidal is a junior at the School of Environmental and Social Policy at Roosevelt High School. Daniel enjoys writing about drama and telling real life stories. He is interested in photography. He hopes to attend Cal State Long Beach.[spacer height=”60px”]

 

Charley Patiño is a junior at the Boyle Heights Technology Academy. Charley enjoys informing people about community issues, and his favorite hobbies are listening to music and reading online about topics such as politics and health. Charley’s dream is to attend USC and train, to become a neurosurgeon and own his own clinic.[spacer height=”60px”]

 

Diana Ochoa is a junior at Roosevelt High School. She enjoys writing about drama. She is a self-professed nerd and likes to explore Los Angeles with her family. She has received perfect attendance awards since elementary school and maintains a 4.0 grade point average.[spacer height=”60px”]

 

  Franklin Granados is a senior at Mendez Learning Center. He enjoys writing about sports, community issues, and poetry. He hopes to attend Loyola Marymount or La Verne to stay close to his family and community. He wants to get into business management or law or become a professional soccer player.[spacer height=”60px”]

 

Diana Arellano graduated in June from Roosevelt High School. She enjoys writing about many topics, from music to politics. She likes to listen to a variety of music, including pop, country, and jazz. She now attends Cal State Northridge and hopes to become a criminal profiler.[spacer height=”60px”]

 

Karissa Reynoso is a senior at Roosevelt High School. Karissa enjoys writing poetry and her favorite hobby is playing video games. She will attend UC Irvine in the fall and hopes to pursue a career as a journalist.
